Spring brings new blooms, sunnier weather, and a sense of starting fresh. It’s the perfect time to manifest joy with some spring cleaning and organization. It won’t just refresh your home, it will refresh your mind, too!

Giving your home a spring clean will make everything feel more functional. A dream home is about more than just looking beautiful (though we do love that part), it’s also about making your life happier, calmer, more well-lived. That’s the cherry on top that we’re always working to deliver to our clients – and it’s why we encourage them to get us involved in the planning of their homes as early as possible.

We love helping our clients make their spaces as functional as they are fabulous – because there’s nothing like a home that delivers happy vibes. If you’re looking to spruce up your space for spring, contact us – and keep reading for our top tips for a spring refresh.

When a family has a colorful and bold personality, it only makes sense that their home follows suit. At the Kirkham House, the light-colored walls, rugs, and furniture anchor each living space, while warm yellows, blues, and greens make the home warm, welcoming, and luxurious.

From sparkling chandeliers to curated art, every detail was carefully chosen to marry vintage charm with a touch of modern elegance. Whether you’re in the living room, kitchen, office, or bedroom, the home’s bold and bright personality exudes creativity and happiness.

For this project, we’re converting an unused loft space into a lounge and virtual learning center for our clients’ children – complete with a beautiful quartz-top corner desk, heavy lacquer finish on the cabinetry, brass sconces, and plenty of storage for school supplies. We are also updating the living room with all new furniture and a creamy color palette layered with a bold navy sofa and soft blue accents. The final design will give elegant and romantic French-inspired vibes, with a few stunning surprises throughout – including a feather chandelier that is to die for! Next up for this space: bringing the whole look together with art and accessories!

As you begin to think about spring cleaning, don’t let the daunting idea of organizing your whole home at once lead to procrastination. Pick a weekend and set your sights on one area at a time. When you tackle things room-by-room (or even drawer by drawer), you’ll find that spring cleaning isn’t just easier – it’s actually enjoyable. Here are a few of our top tips:
  • Clear, then declutter. When organizing a bookshelf, cabinet, closet, or drawer, start by completely removing everything. Then, fill the space one piece at a time and place leftover items in storage bins.
  • Simple things make a big difference. Dusting ceiling fans, vacuuming upholstery, and touching up paint are all small projects with big impact.
  • Don’t forget about the outside. Replace lightbulbs on your patio, vacuum doormats, wash your outdoor pillowcases and fabrics, and if you need to order new furniture or outdoor supplies, don’t wait – they take a long time to ship.
