“Long Line for Racial Justice” concert, March 21st, 3 pm

Local youth concern around racism has blossomed since the summer from an on-line discussion group to a unique cooperation with teens from Syracuse, New York, and across the sea, in the West African country of Sierra Leone. And now an international concert will raise awareness – and funds – for their new project: Respect for Girls. (see their new website)
Six local teens and their new friends in Sierra Leone and Syracuse have launched the Respect for Girls Project, the inspiration for a concert that has drawn an impressive international group of performers.

Join a virtual series on increasing access to affordable housing in Franklin County.

On March 27, 2021 at 9 am, we kick off the event with a panel who will explore why affordable housing is difficult to find. We will consider how housing became a commodity, how it has been impacted by systemic racism created by government policy and what we can do with or without government help to create more affordable housing. Eight virtual workshops in April and May will dive deeper into specific action areas.

There is no fee for the keynote or any of the workshops.
