Registration is now open for the Australian Council of TESOL Associations International Conference 2022!

We are excited to re-launch the 2022 ACTA International Conference, Pushing the Boundaries.

The biennial conference will be held on 26-28 September 2022 at the Hilton Brisbane, Queensland.

The 2022 ACTA International Conference is a bi-annual event that encourages discussion and application between international TESOL learners and educators. Hosted by QATESOL in the sunny city of Brisbane, we encourage you to register now for the three day conference to obtain the best available registration rate.

Only 20 tickets are available at the super early bird rate so get in quick to secure your registration before the price increase.

ACTA Conference Funding

The ATESOL ACT Committee agreed that an important role for our Association is supporting our members to attend the biennial ACTA conference. It was agreed that $5000 would be set aside to cover conference registration fees. This year the Early Bird members’ fee is $800. The closing date for Early Bird registrations is Friday 12th August

The conditions for receiving support are (1) you are a financial, honorary or student member of ATESOL ACT, (2) if your abstract has been accepted, you offer our Association members an opportunity to hear your paper before the conference, giving you an invaluable opportunity to try out your presentation on an interested audience, and (3) a copy of the conference registration receipt and proof attendance is sent to the ATESOL ACT President and Treasurer.

The point system for allocating these funds is as follows:

To request this support, please send the following to president@atesolact.org.au with the subject heading Request for ACTA conference support:

1. Your conference abstract
2. Acceptance/waiting list notification from the ACTA conference organisers
3. A range of dates and times you would be available to present a draft of your paper, probably on Zoom

4. A very brief outline (1-2 lines) of how you meet any of the other criteria listed above.

We will notify you if you have been successful on or before 12th August. We will only cover Early Bird registrations.
