Women in business program


Women in Business is a NSW Government and TAFE NSW initiative that offers a fully subsidised online program for women who are looking to establish a micro business, a small business, or who are already operating a business.

You'll hear from some of Australia’s leading female entrepreneurs sharing their own business experiences, while also accessing information about upcoming events and services available to assist in setting up and growing your business.

Free workshops to help manage cash flow

 

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) provides free workshops on tax basics topics that suit all small businesses and others that are specific to particular industries or circumstances. Some courses are also offered in Chinese, Arabic and Vietnamese.

These workshops are run by experienced tax officers, and include topics such as, running a home-based business, sole traders wanting to know how to manage their tax and super online and cash flow management skills.
They are live allowing you to ask specific questions related to your personal situation.

Dine and Discover NSW


Every NSW resident aged 18 and over will be eligible for four $25 vouchers worth $100 in total. The vouchers can be used at participating NSW businesses who are registered as COVID safe. Council will be encouraging residents to support businesses and use their vouchers locally.

To be eligible for Dine & Discover NSW, your business needs to:
  • have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST.
  • operate in NSW in one of the eligible industries
  • be registered as COVID-safe and have a COVID Safety Plan in place.
The full rollout of the scheme across NSW is expected to take place in March.

Covid-19 restrictions to ease

Restrictions are constantly being reviewed by the NSW government with some restrictions continuing to ease on Friday 29 January.

Under the Public Health Orders it is mandatory for some types of business to complete a COVID-19 Safety Plan and register as a COVID Safe business. For other types of businesses it is mandatory to have a COVID-19 Safety Plan, and optional to register. 

We encourage you to follow COVID safe protocol and remain diligent.
