Does your business need skilled talent in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) to take advantage of future growth opportunities? Do you want to help build the workforce of tomorrow and create a pipeline of local talent for your business?

Join CSIRO and the City of Canterbury Bankstown Council at 8am on April 14th for the free Generation STEM Industry Engagement Workshop to discuss local business challenges and get involved in an exciting new initiative launching in Canterbury Bankstown, the STEM Community Partnerships Program.

This is your opportunity to inspire the next generation and support students to develop their STEM skills. To join us for breakfast at Bankstown Sports Club and learn more about the program, email by Monday 12 April 2021.

Counterfeit detection

While Australia has one of the lowest rates of counterfeiting in the world, it is important to be aware of the security features included on Australia's banknotes so you can protect yourself against accepting a counterfeit.

It is important to note that counterfeits have no value. To determine if a suspect banknote is a counterfeit, it is best to compare it with a banknote that is known to be genuine.

Creating a mentally healthy workplace

Did you know nearly 1 in 6 workers experience mental health issues at any one time? A change in behaviour or performance could be a sign support is needed.

The Black Dog Institute in partnership with the NSW Government is offering free training to help create mentally healthier workplaces.

The flexible programs are designed to support all team members to improve overall wellbeing, engagement, and productivity. After training, 85% of managers said they felt more confident to manage mental health in the workplace.
