-New Classic Vehicle Boom-
SUV's & UV's

Everyone knows pickup trucks are one of the most collected categories of classics. But as we start our eleventh year in May, we have seen a great increase in interest and values for SUV’s and UV’s over the last decade. Whether it be an original 1960’s Ford Bronco, a 1970’s Toyota FJ, or a modified 1950’s Suburban restomod, this category of classic vehicle has great upside.

Most collectors in their 40’s or 50’s traveled in a Bronco, Blazer, or something similar in their family growing up. Whether a daily driver for Dad or a weekend off road vehicle, memories were created and are great reasons for a collector to want an SUV/UV.

If you watch the major TV auctions, you will see everything from bone-stock restorations to highly modified and dressed vehicles. They are bringing ever increasing prices due to the limited supply. Many of these vehicles were lost to rust, off road abuse, or just worn out. Many became work vehicles after the family had traded them in.

Our experience has been mainly with original SUV/UV’s or vehicles restored to how they were made. Every time we have one in stock, there is a great deal of interest. Our advice is if you like them, buy a good one as restoration costs usually exceed the current market value. As with most restored vehicles, it is most economical to buy one completed by someone else and ready to drive.

If you are in the market for something in this category, please send us an email at sales@mjcclassiccars.com. When a nice vehicle arrives, we will let you know. The two Blazers we have in stock now are great examples of this hot category of collector vehicles. Enjoy the examples below of great vehicles that have passed thru our business recently.
