The last month has brought some changes to the Pioneer Log Home building sites. The ground has turned from dirt to a snow covered landscape and the guys have gone from t-shirts to wooleys and toques - but that isn't stopping us!

Joel and Bryan Sr. visited the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum (WAAAM) in Hood River Oregon in October to erect a new gazebo and freshen up on their airplane and automotive history! (Photo below).

Beat took a brave trek to the eastern United States to set a cabin in Vermont. While the build went smoothly, he faced cancelled flights, atrocious weather and lost luggage! Of course this didn't hold Beat back as he returned home having left behind another happy customer.

Once again Peter visited our neighbours to the east- delivering a shop and a number of finishing pieces to projects across Alberta.

Joel will be heading off on our first build of 2015 mid-January in Lake Koocanusa, British Columbia.

Our sales team is on the move with a number of upcoming home shows in both the United States and Canada. To find out if we will be in your area, visit the home shows page on our website.

Newfoundland Build 2014

The second season of Timber Kings premiered January 4th, 2015 on HGTV Canada. If the premier was any indication of what viewers are in for this season, the next 13 episodes will be nothing less than entertaining!

The beginning of the new season added to the guys' already busy travel schedules with all of them visiting Vancouver, BC for a media tour and Beat and André traveling as far as Toronto, ON!

Tune in to HGTV Canada Sundays at 7 PM PT| 10 PM ET to get your fill of Timber Kings!

On December 5th, 2014 Pioneer Log Homes was honoured to receive the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism "Outside the Box" Award! This award is presented to stakeholders who introduce new or innovative concepts or products which have a positive impact to the tourism industry within the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region! We are proud to have received this award, but even more so to have had a positive impact on our community!

On October 24, Joel Roorda and Bryan Reid Sr. were the guests of honour at the Ducks Unlimited Banquet in Prince George, BC. Bryan and Joel had an excellent evening at the event, which fittingly had a "Timber Kings" theme. Bryan remarked that the attendees were even decked out in logging attire!

The pair helped auction off three carvings; a bear, duck and salmon.

Ken Ferris, the coordinator of the event, was overjoyed at the success of the event as well as the authenticity having the two Timber Kings brought to the evening. We too were pleased to be a part of such an excellent event and proud to support a worthy cause.

This gorgeous log post & beam home was featured in Country's Best Cabins December issue! Made with a multitude of different woods, this home is a real treat. You can read the full article here.
