Summer has officially arrived at Pioneer Log Homes, we've seen temperatures soar and homes are flying out of the yard. In the last month the boys have set seven homes and started nearly twice as many new projects.
Beat and his guys finished up their month long project in Lake of the Woods, Ontario, leaving behind and incredible structure and one very happy client (pictured below, top, left). Over the months of May and June, Beat visited Clear Prairie, Alberta and Ely, Minnesota to set homes. Sam did a 'double header' travelling from Williams Lake, BC to Big Canoe, Georgia for a home set, and then on to Corbin, Kentucky, before heading home. Check out the impressive Caribou carving on one of the homes, pictured below, top, right. Peter was also on the road as he traveled across our great nation to set homes in Shell Lake, Saskatchewan and Dugald, Manitoba. Peter was also a part of a very interesting project in our own backyard, read more below! Bryan Jr., along with Little Man and the crew constructed a crew cabin and kitchen for our friends at Central Coast Adventures in Shearwater, BC.
Joel and Shawn have been busy working on a 12,000 square foot home to be constructed in Coplay, PA. The two are off to Pennsylvania in just a few short weeks to set the basement portion of the incredible home. Pictured below is the entrance to the master bedroom of the home (bottom, left) as well as the custom carved totem for the pool room!
TIMBER KINGS GO BACK IN TIME
Peter and Al had the honour of reconstructing Bill Barker's Claim Shaft and Shaft House at Barkerville Historic Town in Barkerville, BC. The pair reconstructed the structures from recycled materials and with the traditional joinery style used in the mid 1800's. The two also got to enjoy a fun day of 'dress-up' and take part in some gold panning.
CONGRATULATIONS MARTIN KALIN
Pioneer Log Homes of BC would like to congratulation Martin Kalin who will celebrate 10 years with us during the month of July!
BELLA BELLA BIG HOUSE
This past spring, Bryan Sr., travelled to Bella Bella to meet with the leaders from the Helitsuk Nation to plan their new Big House. The new structure holds an incredible amount of cultural significance and is an honour to be a part of. Pictured below is the current structure, showcasing traditional, coastal, Native American art.
