Pre School
The pre school children have been so blessed to have the 'Play Around the World' team join with us since last month. This energetic group of university students from Canada will be with us for 3 months and they are teaching the children English and physical skills through play and singing.
Nikol is a music specialist and she has been teaching the Kindermusik program to all of our children for the past 8 months. Thank you Nikol for teaching us. We have some budding musicians in our group!

In English classes we have been learning our alphabet letters through crafts and songs. We are up to the letter 'G'. As most of our older children have left to go to Thai school this new group is learning to talk about themselves and what they like in English.

In Thai class the children have been learning to their Thai alphabet and how to read and write numbers to 10 in English and Thai script.
The coup in Thailand has barely affected our day to day lives here in Pattaya and the most significant change that we have seen is the decline in the numbers of inmates in the prisons. We now receive VIP parking at the central shopping mall beside the Soi 9 police station. The attendants lets us park for free in reserved spaces so that we do not have to carry our supplies long distances. We are so thankful for this blessing.

Our Ukranian lady who has been detained at Soi 9 for more than a month has now been sent to the Immigration Detention Center in Bangkok. We have been working with the police and her embassy to get all of the documentation that she needs to prove her identity and ultimately travel back home. She is an unfortunate lady who had been trafficked to Pattaya and we are glad to say that she will soon be free again.

Below is a picture of a single dad from our center. Since getting saved at the beginning of the year he has been attending church and decided that he wanted to serve the Lord. He sacrificed valuable work time as a motor bike taxi driver to come to the prisons with us. He was such a blessing and it was great to have a strong man for all the lifting and carrying of goods.
A big thanks to PILC who so generously support us financially and also assist us in so many areas of our work. Every Monday the ladies come to teach the children English with Margie and these lessons are fun and always involve a fun craft activity. On Thursday another group of dedicated volunteers assist with the prison ministry.

This month the ladies also presented the foundation with a check for 164, 000 baht. Thank you ladies!
Through the generosity of many people all over the world, we now have 52 children fully sponsored to go to school Recently in Bangkok heard an all to familiar story of a child who has family, being placed in an orphanage due to poverty. The brother placed his 9 year old sister in an orphanage because he could not afford the transport to and from school and he believed that this was his sisters only hope of a chance at a better life.
All of the abandoned babies at the Banglamung hospital have been released and two of the boys are now being cared for in the orphanage in Bangkok. The third boy (Akiew) is with Hand to Hand as his mum has 4 more months of treatment for TB before she can care for her son. Akiew is perfectly healthy and looking for a foster home.
Child Protection Campaign
Margie went to the Rayong English Programme School to run a half day child protection awareness workshop for the foreign staff. As a result the school has decided to begin writing their own Child Protection Policy. Margie will return in the near future to run a similar workshop for Thai staff members.
This month we were blessed by the Brotherhood motor bike club, C47 Cafe and Cooper International Engineering and Services  who provided free Hand to Hand t shirts to all of of our scholarship students. We also had a feast that was fit for a king and no one went home hungry on that day!

This month we have been learning about what love is like by reading Corinthians 13:4-8.
Regents School
The Regents school were renovating their classrooms and Hand to Hand became the beneficiaries of their old but loved furniture. They also paid for the transport to Pattaya and provided an army of willing volunteers to load and unload the truck. We managed to fill a 6 wheeler truck 3 times and we plan to share these items amongst some very needy Thai schools and for our own classroom as well!
International School of the Eastern Seaboard
The staff, students and parents from ISE collected many unused and unwanted items to donate to the Hand to Hand Foundation. These included clothes, toys, baby care items and kitchen ware. A big thanks for their generosity.
The students brought these to the center and spent the morning playing, reading and helping the children make fruit loop necklaces.
The Hand to Hand Foundation is the charity of choice for the BBX trading group and at a recent trade fair the foundation was given a 500, 000 baht check. We have been spending up big already having purchased 100 first aid kits that we have distributed to the slums, prisons and other charity groups. Nick the Pizza has become our new best friend as we can purchase food once a week for the pre school and scholarship students using our BBX money. Nick not only makes pizza but rice dishes and loads more!
Last month we had a team from Texas who came to assist us with the ministry here at Hand to Hand. They came with us to the slums and helped to distribute food, medical care and love to all those who are in need. Khun Sayan is an old man who is dying and suffering badly. After the team prayed for him he smiled as the pain in his hip had instantly gone! Thank you Jesus for your healing power!
Social welfare brought a young single mum to Hand to Hand in the hope that we could assist her with the care of her 4 month old baby so that she could work. Having no extended family to support her she was forced with having to leave her child in an orphanage if child care could not be found. They had been to many places in the Pattaya area and no one could offer assistance for children under 2 years of age. Seeing how much this mother loved her baby we said that we could help so that this small family could stay together. Three days later we had 4 babies to take care of and now we have a separate creche for babies. Thank you so much to everyone for your generosity of new and used baby items. If you wish to donate any unwanted baby items please contact us at
