Kruu Ta who has moved from the baby home to our pre school. She is a great asset to our team and as a qualified teacher she assists with not only the teaching of classes but the planning too!
Khun May is a teacher who is loved by all the children and we thank her for her consistant service. Through thick and thin, good and bad times, teacher May you are there!

Welcome back Khun Tam who has joined our Hand to Hand team again. After exploring other work opportunities he decided that he missed us too much to stay away.
Miss Suzi has successfully planned and taught the English classes whilst Margie was away and she will continue to do this with the assistance of Miss Lolly. Thank you ladies for all your love and support.
A huge thanks to our many volunteers who come to help us in big and small ways. Everything that you do to help us is so appreciated!
Our playground being built by the Rotary Club Pheonix Pattaya and the Lions Club of Phoenix, Hong Kong is finished!!! On the 8th of December we had the official opening and after a short presentation by the children they were able to soon play on it. Hooray!!!!

The clubs also generously donated some educational language and mathematical programs to help with our learning!
A big thanks to all the community nurses that came to give our children a health check up and also teach us how to stay safe and well.
A big thanks to our friends Katrin and Florentin who came to make waffles and Christmas cookies with our children. They looked great and tasted delicious. There was even some extras made for the children in the slum!
We celebrated Jesus' birthday with our families this year and parents were invited to spend the day at the centre to be involved with their child's activities. Khun Pai took the opportunity to discuss some administration points with the parents whilst the children made Christmas tree outfits! Then the celebration began with games, food, birthday cake and a time of prayer. Santa came to give the children presents and rice for each family. Thanks to the Community of Faith Church who made all of this possible!
A big thanks to our friends from Norway and the Pattaya mini golf who faithfully come every week to take Pai shopping for groceries and pay the bill at the end.
Thank you Annie for painting a beautiful mural for us on the wall. Now it looks great and we can wash it too!!
The churches in both Goh Pai and Thepprasit slums are going well. Khun Pai is preparing the new believers who will be baptized when Pastor Troy comes to visit in January.
Thanks to Lhen Lhen who has been helping us to set up the powerpoints so that everyone can see and learn to read the word of God.
Pastor Pai is doing an amazing job of discipling the people with the help of everyone in the Hand to Hand team!

Whilst Margie was a way the Saturday  crossing activities continued . I am really proud of our older students who took it upon themselves to work with the teachers and plan the craft activities. They thought of the craft ideas, prepared them and taught the younger children. We have helped to raise leaders of the next generation. We are so proud and happy!!

A big thanks to the Malaysian- Thai Chamber of Commerce (MTCC) and Sunee and friends for a Christmas party to remember for our kids. Donations of food, cakes, pampers money and much more made this a very special day for staff and children.

November is always the season for Pattaya Praise. This year there was a  focus upon building relationships with the Royal Thai Police. The police from Ireland and Holland came with us to the police stations to meet the police captains and colonels. This was a great time of building relationships between Hand to Hand and the police. The words of encouragement expressed by both parties have built us up to be even stronger. We can’t wait to see what we can do together in 2016!

Our children also had the opportunity to be a part of the children's program and staff enjoyed and attended the programs on the street. We made some new friends from Australia too!

This year Pattaya received torrential rain that caused major flooding all over the city. The worst affected by this disaster were the people in the slums who do not have the resources to rebuild their homes. We worked with government officials to asses the damages and prioritise the needs of the communities. With builders in short supply the communities and even Pastor Pai became expert trades people!

With the help of Rotary Jomtien, the Community of Faith Church and many other generous people we have been able to rebuild and even make some situations better than they were before the flood!
A  huge shout out to all the volunteers and sponsors who make  the visits to the slum each week possible. The rice and other essential needs that we take are literally  life line for some poor families!

The little boy below was bitten on the face by a millipede that had infested his house. With no way of exterminating the pests and no access to medical the help, Hand to Hand was a welcome relief for him and his family!
The 5th of December is a special day where Thai people remember and thank their fathers and also pay respect to the King of Thailand. We celebrated with our friends from the Goh Pai slum in song, dance, prayer, gifts and food.

Thank you Khun Ba for all of your support that made this evening so special!
A very generous donation of 250 000 baht was presented to Hand to Hand at the recent boxing fight night. Thanks to all who worked hard to make this event so successful.

We have had some sad cases of abandoned children at the hospital. Hand to Hand is currently working with the hospital, police and social services to find places where these two cuties can receive the best care and a hop for the future.

Thanks Miss Lolly, Khun Yoo and Khun Jiap for being such an important part of this ministry!

Recently Margie attended an ICPN (International Child Protection Network) meeting in Bangkok. The police and FBI from the USA embassy were the guest speakers and shared with the group the advancements that they are making against perpetrators of crimes against children. Next year they will come to Pattaya to do some training with Hand to Hand and other interested parties.
Tech4kids generously sent us a shipment of toys just in time for Christmas and Children's day. Thank you so much. Children all over Thailand have been blessed, in the jungle, in the slum, at Hand to Hand and even in remote Aka tribe villages!
A big thanks to Ray who is not only the driver but assists with the visits as well. Ray you are not only the lifter off all things heavy but you lift our hearts and spirits too!!!
Some Russian ladies from the Encounter church join with us on Mondays to assist with the ministry and translate for prisoners as needed.
It was great to have the police from Ireland join us on a visit too! Next year they are coming back to train us in how to diffuse an angry situation!!!

Every year Thai people celebrate the Loy Kratong festival. People make kratongs out of a variety of materials and float these on the water. Some of our children were able to go to the Regents school where they made their own kratong. We celebrated the festival by thanking our Father in heaven for all the water that he has given us!
The grade 3 students from the Regents International School Pattaya came to our center to learn more about what we do at Hand to Hand. It was a great to spend time singing, playing and making kratongs with our community partner friends.

Margie went to ISE (International School of the Eastern Seaboard) to talk to the students studying humanities in high school. She had the opportunity to share about what Hand to Hand does to help the community whilst also raising awareness about how the students can help as well.

The families and staff from the school worked together to collect many items that are needed at the centre through the giving tree project. Thank you for your generosity.
A big thanks to Earl, Eva and all the sponsors for another great soul music night and for raising over 61 700 baht for Hand to Hand. You guys are local heroes!!!!
Some of the Hand to Hand team made a 10 day trip to the North of Thailand to visit some of our children that have left our care and are now thriving in the security of their new families. It was also an opportunity to minister to people in the Aka tribe villages and bless them with many things that we take for granted e.g. for some children it was the first time they had ever eaten an apple!

We also visited an Aka pre school that has very limited funding as most of its students lack ID. We delivered second hand toys and
resources that had been donated in Pattaya and we saw how they had made drawers and toys our of milk boxes. A little bit of love can go a long long way with Hand to Hand. Thank you to all of our generous sponsors!
A big thanks to every who helped and supported me in my big adventure over to Canada and the USA. During my trip I was able to visit many old friends  and make lots of new ones along the way too. The financial support and encouragement given to myself and Hand to Hand is truly appreciated.

We successfully raised $10, 000 US which enabled us to rebuild broken homes in the slum area and we now have 650 000 baht towards our new van that we desperately need. We need 1.2 million so we are over half way there!!!
A huge shout out to the staff and volunteers who kept the fort going at Hand to hand whilst I was away. They survived floods, fire, special events and  fundraisers on top of the day to day work that we do.
