First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your generous giving and sacrifices in these troubling uncertain times. These last few weeks have been very tiring but also very rewarding. Knowing that we are in this together has definitely brought inner strength to us all.
Your support has helped so many people, and I would like to share just a couple with you:
Our hearts have been overwhelmed with the tragedies that some have faced. I am so thankful for your donations that are making it possible to help so many facing hardship. God bless you and your families, stay safe and healthy. #WeAreInThisTogether
- Recently, we got a call from an IU doctor who had to quarantine a 54 year old man. His situation troubled her to the point that she wanted to secure some help for him. As she began to share his story we were eager to help. He is on a fixed income, and his wife is on hospice. We called them immediately, and within the hour, we had gathered 2 large boxes of food and personal care items and delivered them to his door. They will continue to receive weekly deliveries as long as they need it.
- A few days later we received a call from a nurse who had a patient who was 8 1/2 months pregnant. She had nothing for her soon to be born baby. We went to work gathering things for the baby boy and included a care package for the mother to be.
