 Short Re-cap of First Meeting
Minutes to follow
The first meeting was very well attended with members and visitors from around this district and other surrounding districts. All positions were filled !!  (except PI/CPC which was tabled and will be revisited at the next meeting.) That is amazing. When I served in the Florida Keys half the positions were typically not filled. When I stood for Treatment, it had not been chaired in 12 years.
Service committees began forming their internal structures after we adjourned with corrections leading the way. All those who stood to serve had their contact information gathered, including mailing address so they can receive their informational packets from GSO.
Enthusiasm was very high. The zero balance treasury received first contributions.....and the hat was not even passed! (I couldn't remember if that was procedure at previous districts-getting old-perhaps other experienced service members can provide guidance) The mood was light but focused. The meeting lasted just under 55 minutes.

Congratulations to all for a job exceedingly well done. What we do today will save a life tommorrow-perhaps our own!

Service workshop, "Orange Badges" Sunday, August 25th, Gainesville.                          Carpool suggested, I am going and have room for one rider.

Please announce this in your groups as others could be interested.
