As a reminder, the District 181 Board of Education approved a revision to the school calendar at the August 24 meeting to classify Monday, October 12 as a day of student attendance.
CHMS is offering a Virtual Running Club and Virtual 5K during the months of October and November. The goal is for the students to run a minimum of 1.5 miles as often as they can over the next two months in order to build the strength and stamina needed to participate in the Virtual 5K over the week of Thanksgiving. Families received an email with all the details and the Google Form the students need to complete for each run as well as the information regarding t-shirt order for the Virtual 5K. Please place your t-shirt orders by Tuesday, October 13 to allow enough time for payment and processing. If you have any questions, feel free to contact 8th grade teacher Jen Scheuerman at jscheuerman@d181.org.

Thanks to all the CHMS families who participated in the Virtual Rotary Run Charity Classic last weekend! Our very own Echo the Eagle put his running shoes on too. Hope everyone enjoyed the exercise, beautiful day and raising funds for the community.
Has your child needed mental health, learning, emotional or behavioral support during the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, please help The Parent List by leaving a brief, anonymous review of a provider who made a positive difference in your child’s well-being on The Parent List, a Hinsdale Central PTO supported platform created by a parent for parents in our local communities. Thank you so much to our Spirit Wear Chair, Katie Gjeldum, and to the volunteers who delivered the items to homes this week.
