When your child comes home from school (or during dinner), ask your child to list one way that she or he saw kindness being displayed by others and how she or he displayed kindness toward others during the school day.

The PTO recently approved the purchased of $3,300 in new TI-84 graphing calculators for 8th grade math classes. These are the same calculators that students will use during math classes at Hinsdale Central.
Thank you to all the students and families that helped make the Care for Carolina event a big success. As a community, we collected 3,000 notebooks and rallied the help of many students and parents to pack the truck. Your support and generosity was invaluable!
The PTO wants to extend a very big thank you to the following people that have given of the time and talents to enrich our school community.
- 6th Grade Parent Social: Thank you to Wendy Phillips for planning a fun parents’ night out at Bakersfield on Nov. 1 for 6th grade parents.
- Care for Carolina: Thank you to Kim Anderson and Elaine Gilman for their assistance with recruiting volunteers to help pack the truck tomorrow.
- Veteran’s Day Assembly: Thank you to Kim Anderson, Elaine Gilman and Amy McCurry for their assistance with planning the Veteran’s Day Assembly on Friday, Nov. 9 and for hosting the brunch offered to our guest Veterans.
- Book Fair: Thank you to Marie Strimaitis and her team of parent volunteers, along with Ashley Rasmussen (our new MRC Director), for planning our annual Fall Book Fair.
- Gift of the Season 2018: Thank you to Stephanie Hamman and Parita Singla for coordinating our annual gift drive for needy families in our local area.
