News from the CHMS PTO

Welcome Back from the CHMS PTO Board

On behalf of the CHMS PTO Executive Board, we want to extend a warm welcome to all existing and new families. We are excited to be a part of such a wonderful community and are looking forward to this school year!

Volunteers are busy planning our “roster” of regularly-sponsored events as well as some new events, including a 6th grade parent social. Stay tuned for more details.

Make sure to check out the lobby, gymnasium, and staff workrooms when you visit CHMS to see a beautiful refresh of those areas. PTO dollars were used to cover the costs of the refresh, including a new gymnasium scoreboard with working numbers.

A big thank you to our Back to School Day co-chairs, Nicole Kubesh and Lana Ferren, and the many volunteers who made the day a huge success. We couldn’t be more thankful to all our parents and students who helped welcome the 2018-2019 school year.

Enjoy your first week back at school, and we look forward to seeing you at our first PTO Meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. (new time).

A Word from Dr. Brown

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!

I look forward to another successful year at CHMS as we look to focus on students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. Our incredible staff is excited to meet their students, begin to build relationships, and expand student learning in a variety of areas. In my third year at CHMS, I am excited for the continued positive directions we are constantly striving toward with the guidance of our district leaders, dedicated staff, talented students, and supportive community.

I would also like to give a big thank you to our amazing PTO for all of the updates to our building and student facilities this past summer! I’m confident the changes will build school pride and contribute to work productivity and effectiveness.

Again, welcome and please feel free to stop by to say hello.

Dr. Levi Brown

Join the PTO for “Middle School 101”: Wednesday, Sept. 12 @ 1 p.m.

Middle schoolers experience  great social, emotional and physical change. Join us for our first PTO meeting of the year on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 1:00 p.m. (new time!) in the MRC as our principal, Dr. Levi Brown, provides an overview of changes that take place during the middle school years and how the CHMS staff works to meet each child’s unique needs.

Updated CHMS Online Directory: Coming Soon!

We will use the My School Anywhere system for our CHMS online school directory again this year. You will receive an email in the near future to review and confirm your family’s personal contact information. Please be on the lookout for that email and reply ASAP to ensure the accuracy of your data.
