October 2015

Leadership Development

What if we could stop the prostitution of children before it starts? To do this, we're working with teenagers in Majengo slums who, if not positively mentored, easily become perpetrators or victims. This October we started by opening their minds to the idea that they can become great leaders - rise above their challenges as some have done before them - what a concept!

We opened our Healing and Restoration Therapy Home for 6 girls from our 2911 Scholarship Program who stayed there during their August school break - yay! The girls loved the safe beautiful space. We have a few more steps now before opening to the public. Very grateful!

Holiday Camp

The fun continued during April and August school breaks - art, crafts, Bible stories, games, snacks and even movie days :-)
Three mornings a week the camps provided an oasis for kids to be kids amid the harsh environment
around them.
Thank you volunteers!

New Horizons

3-part mission in June-July to visit aftercare homes, attend a First Aid Arts Workshop and talk to groups about One Lamb. Many thanks to our amazing hosts and new friends in Canada, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Texas, Seattle and California!!
We continue to thank God for our wonderful friends and partners
who support us through prayer, resources and encouragement.
Thank you, bless you.
