Combating Extremism
 2nd October 2015 (Morning course)

What is the extremism your school community is combating? How is this extremism combated in Yr 1? Can your school governors confidently articulate this? Do you need support exploring how your school can answer these questions?

During this course we will explore together what you already do that helps your school meet these requirements and what the further actions are that you might take.

The session will be led by Mandy Christopher, Assistant Director of Education and Derek Holloway, Salisbury Diocesan RE Adviser and SIAMS Manager. Full details and booking here.

British Values in your School
2nd October 2015 (Afternoon course)

How do ‘British Values’ fit into your school values? How are the British values developed across your curriculum? What is their impact on the children? Can your school governors articulate this?

This course provides the opportunity for you to identify what you already do and practical ideas to develop that work further. It explores how you monitor and evaluate the impact on children and involve governors in that work.

NB attendees need to bring with them their current thinking on their school values.

The session will be led by Mandy Christopher, Assistant Director of Education and Derek Holloway, Salisbury Diocesan RE Adviser and SIAMS Manager

Stay for both courses, and enjoy a light lunch served in between sessions! Full details and booking here.
