In addition, we have compiled a list of resources on how to give, where to give, Jewish wisdom, virtual facilitation and more. We’ll be updating this page throughout the coming weeks.
Today: Virtual Pop-Up Giving Circle Facilitation Training
There’s still time to register for our Virtual Pop-Up Giving Circle Training, taking place today, Thursday March 26th, at 1:00 pm EST.
Many communities are facing urgent challenges spanning from a lack of medical supplies to high unemployment rates in certain industries. A virtual pop-up giving circle is an opportunity to come together while funding COVID-19 relief efforts.
Virtual Conversation: Giving in the Time of COVID-19
It’s a confusing time to support the causes and communities we care about. Many of us may be wondering whether we have the means to give, or we may be unsure about where and how to donate.
That’s why, on Thursday, April 2nd at 1:00 pm EST, Amplifier is hosting a community conversation to help community members find clarity, connection, and a commitment around supporting the people and organizations on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis. We'll share a brand new resource to help guide giving decisions, offer some thought-provoking questions, and help participants to walk away from their desks (or couches!) with a newfound sense of direction and confidence in their giving choices.
Even in the best of times, determining where to give can be daunting. But the severity, scale, and urgency of the COVID-19 crisis can make it that much more challenging to identify where and how to give.
To make this process easier, we reached out to Repair the World and Avodah for their recommendations on local partner organizations that need urgent support. All the organizations on this list are providing direct services to vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Consider supporting one or more of these organizations if you're able, or use this list when hosting a Virtual Pop-Up Giving Circle to pool money with others and make a donation. And, look out for more curated lists of organizations to donate to in the future!
