Residential Grant Writing Retreat 2017

Do you have a great idea for research in health or social care?

Would your team benefit from protected time and expert support to develop your idea into a competitive funding application?

We are offering a unique opportunity for health and social care professionals across the South West and South Central regions to attend a week-long Residential Grant Writing Retreat at Dillinton House, Ilminster in September 2017.

The Retreat provides an opportunity for research teams to make rapid progress over a relatively short period of time toward high quality research proposals suitable for submission to national peer-reviewed funding streams.

Participating teams will enjoy protected time dedicated to the development of their research proposals away from the distractions of their workplace, expert help and support from RDS adviser staff and the experience of working as part of a professional research team.

The HRA has recently launched new ‘Patients and Public’ pages on its website, as it is keen to make it simpler for patients to understand how they can get involved in research, promote the ways the HRA involve the public in its work and explain why protecting the safety, dignity, rights and well-being of people taking part in research is so important to the HRA.
