The Weekend Australian, last weekend, published its national Hot 50 Restaurants for 2017 and while we did not make the list this year, Lucio's was nominated as one of the "Fifty seriously good restaurants that came awfully close". Nice.
We are very pleased to officially welcome our new Head Chef, George Kohler who joined us a few months ago. George is our fifth head chef in our almost 35 years. He is a terrific chef, nice guy and in keeping with the "Lucio's Family" he was one of our star Apprentices about 10 years ago. He has since gained invaluable experience with Dietmar Sawyere at 41 & Berowra Waters, Monopole and most recently as Senior Sous Chef at Jonah's at Whale Beach (under our ex Head Chef No 3, Logan Campbell). It almost feels like party season has already begun, and we know how to party.
