2016 was successful for X-Forces, it's Beneficiaries and Partners, a year in which we helped more Service Leavers, Veterans, Spouses, Reserves and Cadets to explore enterprise than ever before.
In 2017, with the support of our key partners we intend to build on all of these achievements: increasing our offering to those accessing the CTP, continuing to offer free, accessible enterprise workshops across the UK supported by ABF The Soldiers' Charity, offering tailored mentoring to all of our entrepreneurs and continuing to develop our bespoke programmes with our specialist partners; Help for Heroes, Blind Veterans UK and the Royal British Legion.
We will be joining forces with FiMT, Warwick Institute for Employment Research and QinetiQ to carry out research into self-employment and entrepreneurship in the Armed Forces community. Our first physical X-Forces Academy will be taking shape this year, alongside an Enterprise Education programme for Cadets. Our corporate engagement continues with the outstanding ongoing support from RBS Group and a new initiative with the Management Consultants Association. Watch this space as we envisage more support on the ground for our XF Businesses.
Our continued aspiration is for the Armed Forces Community to create a cohort of high impact businesses and lead the way in bringing more innovation to UK plc, overseas trade and economic growth.
We have created our 2020 VISION!
As part of our ongoing strategy, we aim to have supported 2020 businesses from the Armed Forces Community to not only Start Up, but Scale Up! To do this we will be working with our entrepreneurs, big business, government and charities.
If you would like to get involved in achieving this vision, get in touch to arrange a meeting with myself and the team.
