The Lake County Film Festival is back, and bigger than ever.

In four weeks, on November 4th, The 2021 Lake County Film Festival will launch at The Gorton Community Center in Lake Forest, with a screening of the feature documentary Dear Mr. Brody, which currently sits at 100% positive on Rotten Tomatoes.

From there, we will be hosting eleven more days of screenings, at both the Grayslake Campus of The College Of Lake County and Three Brothers Theatre in Waukegan.

For 2021, we're showing over 30 feature films, divided into three categories, Narrative Features, Documentary Features, and Rockin' The Suburbs, which features music-related films that are some of each. We're also showing over 100 short films, both in front of features, and in short film programs. We have Spreadsheets showing the schedules at Grayslake & Waukegan

You can find the full slate of films showing on our website. We will be spotlighting individual titles on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram over the upcoming weeks. You can also join our Discord server for more film festival discussion.

We are planning a virtual festival, which will run November 18 - 29, and feature 10 features and 10 programs of short films.

Tickets to films are $10 for features, and $5 for short film programs.

A day pass is $25, and a weekend pass is $50. Weekend Pass #1 is actually good from Friday, November 5th - Tuesday, November 9, and Weekend Pass #2 is good from Wednesday, November 10 - Sunday, November 14. A full festival pass is $70. You can purchase tickets or passes on any of the film pages on the website.

Friday, October 8th - College Of Lake County

Tomorrow I will be at the College Of Lake County for the CLC International Film Series screening of Alphaville. I'll be showing a short film and trailer, answering any questions about the festival, and bringing printed festival materials to the screening.

I'll probably send one email a week until the festival begins, so please feel free to email me with any questions, and I'll answer them in a future newsletter. There are still a few things to announce, including our closing night feature, our room of FREE screenings, and some educational seminars we're holding.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to seeing you at the festival!
