Fast cars and speedways don’t usually go hand-in-hand with banking, but in the case of Revere Bank and Autobahn Indoor Speedway, banking made a group of entrepreneurs’ speedway dreams a reality.

“Revere came in and took the time to learn our business and project goals,” said David Larson, Autobahn managing partner. “Our relationship manager [at the bank], Ken Williams, was very hands on. We talked to him about our different ideas and goals, and he took the time to understand and give us feedback so we could position our project correctly. A lot of banks want to say no—Revere finds a way to say yes.”

Maryland Business Tax Credits and Incentives for the 2017 Filing Season

It’s that time of year again, Maryland! Here’s everything you need to know about Maryland business tax credits and incentives for the 2017 filing season.

Who Must File

All corporations and associations with income allocable to the State of Maryland are required to file an income tax return with the state on Form 500. The corporate tax rate is 8.25% of the net income allocable to Maryland.

When and How to File

Business income tax returns for the year 2017 must be filed by April 18 (the first weekday after April 15 following the close of the taxable year or period) or by the original due date required for filing the federal return. Form 500 must be filed electronically to claim business income tax credits.

FSC First Awards Revere Bank Vice President Ken White Lender of the Year and Elects Him Vice Chair of the Board
Revere Bank Vice President, Ken White, recently received the Lender of the Year award from FSC First and was elected Vice Chair of their Board of Directors. FSC First provides small and minority businesses access to financing through distinct loan products. The loans are a product of public-private partnerships between a consortium of participating banks, Prince George’s County and FSC First.

Maryland Building Industry Association Appoints Revere Bank Senior Vice Presidents to Board of Directors 
Revere Bank's Mike Schonfeld and Scott Nicholson were recently appointed and re-elected to the Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA) Board of Directors. 

Revere Bank and Monument Bank Conversion Complete
Revere Bank announced the completed conversion of its previously announced merger with Monument Bank, effective as of December 5, 2016. The merger was first announced May 3, 2016 and legally closed on September 30, 2016. Based on financial information as of September 30, 2016, on a pro forma basis, the combined company has approximately $1.8 billion in assets, with ten branches, making Revere the third largest bank headquartered and operating in the State of Maryland.

Revere Bank Employees Support Junior Achievement in Montgomery County
Revere Bank employees recently conducted a financial literacy presentation to students at Gaithersburg Middle School. As part of the seminar, students learned about financial basics, including credit scores and insurance policies. 

Revere Bank Donates to Local Charities for Holiday Giving
Revere Bank is proud to give back to the communities we serve! This holiday season, as part of our annual holiday giving, Revere Bank made generous donations to six nonprofit organizations in its market area. The donations were used for adopt a family programs, and the funds supported six needy families by helping them put food on their tables for a holiday dinner and by providing gifts to make the holidays brighter for their families.

Revere Bank Donates Calculators to Local High School
Revere Bank, along with several local business organizations, recently donated 30 new advanced (TI-83 and TI-84) calculators to Seneca Valley High School pre-calculus and honors geometry students.
 
Revere Bank’s Anne Kline Helps Catholic Charities Open New Office Space
Revere Bank Senior Vice President Anne Kline and Shareholder Geoff Pohanka recently donated to the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Washington to enable four of the organization’s programs to move into a new office space.
