Fallapalooza continues! On Saturday the Thomas Darling House is hosting an Open House and Hearth Cooking Demonstration from 2-4 pm. Next Thursday Coachman Square at Woodbridge is hosting a fashion show with local models and local fashions. More details here.

Hazardous Waste Collection

Public Works is offering a satellite collection of household hazardous waste on Saturday Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Transfer Station (85 Acorn Hill Road Extension).

Hazardous Waste's main location (90 Sargent Drive, New Haven) is open to residents every Saturday through the end of October.

Library Adds to Online Services


The Library has two additional online services: Hoopa Digital and Lynda.com. Hoopla Digital provides online access to thousands of movies, TV shows, music, eBooks, audiobooks and comics. Lynda.com provides access to over 4,000 free courses to learn new business, creative, and tech skills with expert-led online video tutorials.
 
These services are available to Woodbridge patrons with a valid library card. Learn more.


 

Flu Shots

The Woodbridge Senior Center is hosting two flu shot sessions. Residents can pay for the shot through participating insurance companies (call 203-407-7430 to see if your insurance participates) or private pay.

Flu shots will be offered on Monday Oct. 17 from 3-5:30 p.m. and Tuesday Oct. 18 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 4 Meetinghouse Lane.

Through October 29: Household Hazardous Waste at Regional Water Authority, 90 Sargent Dr., New Haven. Saturdays, 9 am – Noon.

Through October 31: Motor Vehicle Assessment - High Mileage/Poor Body Condition inspection for October 2016 Grand List. (Vehicles must be registered in Woodbridge as of 10/1.)  Inspection does not guarantee value change. Bring car to Woodbridge Town Hall, Monday- Friday, 9am – 4pm. Appointment not needed.

Through November 1:  Personal Property Declarations are due back from businesses by November 1, 2016 to avoid 25% late filing penalty. Call, email or visit the Assessor’s Dept. on the Woodbridge Website if the Declaration Mailing was not received. (203-389-3416, assessorclerk@woodbridgect.org)

Through November:   DPW – Bulk Pick-Up. Every Tuesday through November by appointment. Contact Public Works at 203-389-3420.
