Newsletter June 2016

Good morning everyone

Welcome to June and summer!!!  With the promise of temperatures in the 90's all week, it's time to start finding ways of cooling down!

Just about as far from summer as I can imagine...I just finished reading Touching the Void, by Joe Simpson ....and if you are a climber you simply must read this and if not...I would still highly recommend it.  There really can't be many people that live to tell a story like it...inspiring, emotional and compelling reading!  The quote of the month at the end of the newsletter is from the book!

This month brings a diverse set of images from my business shoots, blog and of course my own camera fun, scroll down to take a look!

Also don't miss this months gift voucher special for Father's Day, which can be used on any kind of shoot - family, business headshot, sports event etc.  Feel free to forward this to any friends or family you think might be interested too!

Enjoy the sunshine and don't forget to get in touch if you have any comments.

Blog - 'Capture This - Morgan Territory Wild Flowers'
With the last drops of rain evaporating, I managed to get one more trip out to Morgan Territory to see the dramatic display of wild flowers there this year.  It was so windy when I was up there that getting these images was quite a challenge and as you can imagine, I have lots of 'not so goods :-)'.  I do love how the background is blurred out in some of them....mostly due to the wind and not the aperture!!  Here are a few of my favorites!  June will see a change in the blog...I'm keeping the subject under wraps for now, but look out for the will be fun!!

Little Ditty About My Own Camera Fun - Clarion Alley, San Francisco
Ok, so you either know exactly whats coming or you don't!!  For my non-California readers, Clarion Alley is a small pedestrian street in San Francisco which is famous for its wall murals painted by the Clarion Alley Mural Project.  I had the opportunity to visit it with some friends recently and although it isn't in the most desirable location in San Francisco, it does make an interesting visit.  I usually concentrate on shooting the natural world and so graffiti may seem a little out of character for me...but I do love it!

Some of my images are from murals on streets close to Clarion Alley as well as from Clarion Alley itself and of course I have only shared the 'clean' the coffee cup in the first one!  Finally the last image is one I just couldn't resist taking...enjoy!!
Quote of the Month

'Life can deal you an amazing hand. Do you play it steady, bluff like crazy or go all in?' ~ Joe Simpson, Touching the Void.
And that's it for June!

Thanks so much for reading the June newsletter, do get in touch if there is anything you would like to know more about!
