For the Photographer in You -
New for 2020!!
This section of my newsletter has ranged from being quite technical to advice on what to wear for family photos. This year, I would like to stick with the theme of capturing pictures as we go through our everyday lives. It’s wonderful to book professional photography sessions and sometimes essential. But those everyday moments are happening all the time and we don’t want to miss out on those either. 2020 will see a collection of articles that will help you to be prepared and to capture those spontaneous moments in the best way you can. I’m hoping that they won’t be too tricky, but will allow growth for you in various areas of photography....as always, please email me if you have any questions or thoughts on the topics, I'd be more than happy to explain further!
Lets start with this month and a very easy way of working to adopt! We all want to capture those spontaneous pictures...kids doing funny things, a single look from a family member...how can we get better at this? Or when we are on holiday...sometimes there is so much to photograph and we rush around trying to capture it all...looking for the jewel. Its important to remember that there is the opportunity for interesting pictures everywhere you look! Sometimes, its better to slow down, stay put, and see what comes to you. You will find that things do and that you will be better prepared when they do! So next time...pick a spot...be it the kitchen, under the tree in the park, your favorite table at your favorite coffee shop and slow down...see what comes to you! Needless to say you need to keep your camera with you...even if its your phone.
Know that I will also be doing this...so hope to see you out there and would love to hear your stories!! :-)
