Good morning everyone

Welcome to July and happy 4th to you all!!!  

My latest and greatest this month is from the city...San Francisco for a change...  I just love the beach and we were so lucky to get summer weather in 'summer' - a warm day with lots of sunshine!  Scroll down to see family images, some of which can only be from San Francisco.

Great news....we're back with the holiday photo competition; see below for details, but this is a great opportunity to win a shoot...yup, thats no session fee at all!  I only run this once a year and pick the best holiday photos I receive....so get snapping and send me your best!!

I really can't think of a better way to spend a sunny afternoon...on the beach, with lovely people, soaking in the sunshine and fun atmosphere...and of course with my camera...

A huge thank you to this beautiful family for choosing me to be their family photographer...I can see how much fun you have together....you were all gorgeous.

Blog - 'Capture This - Flower Lab Color'
 
Anyone who reads my blog will know that I love photographing flowers and nature!!  Normally, I would do very little editing and Photoshop work, but something caught my eye recently called 'Lab' color. This involves some photoshop steps and actually changing the colorspace that the image is presented in.  Below are some of the images I will experiment on as well as others.  It is a little technical, but I am excited to understand the capabilities...so come along with me and see what it can bring...first one in July!!

Little Ditty About My Own Camera Fun - Character Portraits

Recently, my kids made clay models for Dad for Father's Day.  They spend so much time and effort on these little treasures and they turned out so beautifully, I felt that I had to photograph them!!  Of course there is always the possibility that they may not live for ever as well :-)  Here are a few of my favorites!  Also, we couldn't have done it without the help of a wonderful artist - Danielle John (http://www.pots-and-paints.com) She is so talented both with art and children and really brought out the creativity in my girls...thank you so much!!
