There are lots of great things happening at market this Saturday that you won't want to miss! First up, we've got hyper-local Heritage Honey popping up with their fabulous honey produced from hives located in Georgetown and Palisades (true story!). Next up, the Georgetown Library will be visiting from 9:30am-11:30am for Storytime and library card sign-ups! Musician Bosscatt Empson will be back singin' and strummin' his guitar. After a food truck hiatus for the past 2 weeks, we'll have Kafta Mania rolling in to market around 11am to serve up some tasty lunch specials. Don't forget, Gil will be ready to check over you bike with the free bicycle clinic  from 10am - 1pm! 
 

This Week at Market:





PRODUCE:

Bending Bridge Farm will have certified organic arugula, asparagus, carrots, kale, bok choy, baby beets with greens, radishes, rhubarb, strawberries, lettuce, swiss chard, oyster mushrooms, spring onions and sunchokes. Spring Valley Farm & Orchard will have salad and stir fry mixes, swiss chard, radishes, beets, colorful cauliflower, broccoli, red potatoes, asparagus, scallions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and squash blossoms. Kuhn's Orchard will be back with their delicious apple cider , apples a-plenty (gold rush, fuji, york, pink lady, granny smith), Asian pears, beautiful mixed flower bouquets with peonies and wild indigo, Asian pears, asparagus, garlic scapes, rhubarb, honey, jam, canned peaches, dried apples, applesauce, apple butter, and fresh herbs (tarragon, mint, oregano, dill, cilantro)! Westmoreland Produce will have a variety of seedlings for your spring gardens, strawberries, lettuce, kale, arugula, garlic scapes, spring onions, cabbage, broccoli, sweet peas, string beans, radishes, beets, summer squash,  and more.
 

MEAT:

EcoFriendly Foods will have heritage Freedom Ranger chickens, sausage (pork and chicken), pork chops, bacon, 20 and 30 month cured Iberico ham, eggs and more. Happy Hen's Barnyard will have fresh eggs, chicken and seafood from the Eastern shore.


BAKED GOODS:

Whisked has baked up some sweet cherry pie (first of the season!), strawberry rhubarb, apple rhubarb, strawberry lemon, sea salt chocolate chess. For those that prefer something more savory, pick up an Italian Zucchinni or Bacon, Cheddar and Onion Quiche. Bonaparte Breads will have a variety of croissants, tarts and French bread!


OTHER:

Number 1 Sons will have a a variety of krauts, pickles (district dills, kicky koshers, super sours), and other fermented foods. Fingers crossed they bring back some Salsa So Verde (so good)! Cafe Los Suenos will be back offering fresh, hot pour-overs, iced coffee and bags of whole roasted coffee beans. The best goat's milk cheese maker, Spriggs Delight will be bringing their classic chevre, a variety of flavored goat cheese spreads (garlic & herb, cranberry nut, jalapeno & chive), Valencay, Camembert, feta, goat's milk fudge and more!
