Reminder: Today is the last day to submit a comment on the permit for a proposed fish farm in federal waters off the Florida coast. If approved, it could set a precedent for allowing many more fish farms in U.S. federal waters. Please submit a comment opposing the approval of it. Talking points can be found here. Update: Thanks very much to all who contacted Blair County officials requesting that the fishes and other animals in the lake at Lakemont Park (Altoona, PA) be saved prior to the lake being drained (see previous alert). Outrageously, the lake was drained and the fishes left to slowly perish. A worker was even filmed throwing rocks at the dying animals!
