Clean Up Australia Day is on Sunday 6 March and even though you might clean up all year round, you don’t want to miss out on this day. The site registrations are still open so this is your chance to benefit from being involved in the nation’s biggest clean up.

So why should a group who does regular clean ups host a clean up site on Clean Up Australia Day? Here’s why.

-  When you register your site on www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au, you can register your site as ‘open to public’. This means anyone in your area could join and it's a great way to meet new people - even recruitment them for your planting days.
-  For the pure and simple joy of being a part of Clean Up Australia Day.

Register your site and promote it to community volunteers. If you have any questions please contact Gecko Events: events@gecko.org.au

Have a great Clean Up Australian Day!

Did you see the extraordinary, multitasked, Natural Areas Management Unit, Greening Officer, Saraya Robinson profiled on City of Gold Coast's City Jobs video last week?

If you didn't, we recommend you take the time to watch the short video. It's an inspiring snap shot that beautifully showcases the talented and passionate powerhouse we have in the City of Gold Coast's Natural Areas Management Unit. We are lucky to have Australia's largest council-based ecological restoration team working behind the scenes to improve the health and sustainability of Gold Coast natural areas. We've inserted a recent post of their Currumbin Creek restoration project, great effort by everyone involved.

Congratulations Saraya! You spoke so well and we are extremely proud of your achievements.
