Hi, <<First Name>>!

Welcome back to the Richmond Parks & Recreation weekly newsletter!

This morning's total lunar eclipse, also known as the full Freezing Moon, Frost Moon or Beaver Moon, is thought to signify deeply transformative times that are good for reflecting and setting intention for renewal and rejuvenation in the coming months.

With this astrological event comes the promise of exciting new programming! We have a bundle of festive activities that will keep you moving and mindful, while creating memories with friends and family.

We hope you enjoy these brief glimpses into our upcoming seasonal programming.

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow!
Richmond Parks & Recreation

2022 End of Year Capital Campaign
🌳November 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022 🌳

Richmond Parks & Recreation exists today because of the hard work and vision of dedicated community members who have shared their time, talent, and treasure over the years.

We strive to serve Richmond and the surrounding area, but we need YOUR help!

"Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow!" will serve the needs of today and the future by enhancing our park facilities, expanding our programs, and sustaining a vibrant sense of community.

We would like to invite you to donate to our year-end campaign anytime between now and midnight on December 31, 2022.

Help us reach our goal of $125,000, and for your support,
we will plant a tree in 2023!

Please visit to donate or call 765-983-PARK to learn more about donating or sponsoring a 2023 event!

Richmond Parks & Recreation is looking for avid hikers
to volunteer to help maintain our trails!
- Hike trails to report any issues (fallen trees, safety concerns, damage to structures, etc.)
- Clear trails of debris (leaves, branches, etc.)
- Invasive removal
- Trail building/improvement

Farm to Fork

Today, we invite YOU to be part of this year’s Farm to Fork Dinner on Saturday November 19, 2022.

This Fall, community members are invited to gather together to celebrate our local farmers and gardeners while also raising vital funds for our programming and marketing budget with a harvest dinner utilizing ingredients sourced from the Farmers Market and a silent auction, featuring items donated from our local vendors.

Dedicated to making fresh, nutritious food more accessible to all community members, the Richmond Farmers Market is also committed to fostering a vibrant community. As we reflect on the importance of our largest community fundraising event, we are reminded of our commitment to growing our Market as a community gathering place while enhancing the quality of place and life for the entire Richmond community.

In alignment with this initiative, we are proud to announce that all proceeds from the 2022 Farm to Fork Dinner will go directly towards the Richmond Farmers Market programming and marketing budget which helps to provide live music, yoga classes, cooking demonstrations, children’s activities, community festivals, and so much more.

Tickets are available to purchase via Eventbrite, or you can stop by the Market Shed during Saturday Market hours (9am-Noon at The Starr Gennett Building in Richmond!).
