Hi, <<First Name>>!

Welcome back to the Richmond Parks & Recreation weekly newsletter!

This weekly newsletter has and will continue to serve as THE destination for all upcoming Parks & Recreation activities.

As we look ahead to another changing of seasons, we are excited to announce that this newsletter will also serve as a window into local initiatives that will make our community even more vibrant and the different opportunities for YOU to be a part of the magic.

We sincerely hope you enjoy these brief glimpses into the behind-the-scenes of your favorite parks program.

FEATURED STORY

Reimagining the Gennett Records
Walk of Fame

The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, in partnership with the Starr-Gennett Foundation, is delighted to announce the support of First Bank Richmond to help restore the Gennett Records Walk of Fame. Thanks to First Bank Richmond’s generous $10,000 donation, Starr-Gennett Foundation will be enabled to make necessary repairs to the public art installation, hopefully inspiring passersby with tales of a remarkable musical legacy.

The impact of First Bank Richmond’s generosity cannot be understated as every donation to the Patronicity crowdfunding campaign will be matched by the Indiana Housing Community Development Authority (IHCDA) through the CreatINg Places grant program - that is, only if Starr-Gennett Foundation meets a fundraising goal of $50,000.

With only 8 days remaining in the campaign, we hope you will join First Bank Richmond in restoring the art installation that keeps the music alive in Richmond's Whitewater Valley Gorge Park.

To learn more about what this campaign will accomplish and to take action, visit: https://www.patronicity.com/project/gennett_records_walk_of_fame
