Registration is now live for MANA16: RESPECT in Atlanta, GA!

Featuring Keynote Speaker Robin Lim

The Midwives Alliance is proud to welcome our esteemed Keynote Speaker, Robin Lim. "Mother Robin" or "Ibu Robin" is a midwife and founder of Yayasan Bumi Sehat (Healthy Mother Earth Foundation) health clinics, which offer free prenatal care, birthing services and medical aid to anyone in need. She and her team have been working since 2003 to combat Indonesia's high maternal and infant mortality rates, and the Bumi Sehat birth centers serve many at-risk mothers.

In 2011 Robin Lim was named the CNN Hero of the Year by the Cable News Network (CNN) for providing thousands of low-income women in Indonesia with healthy pregnancy and birth services. Always with her finger solidly on the pulse of current events, Ibu Robin will be opening the conference with her address on Birth in the Era of Climate Change. In addition to her opening talk, she'll present a keynote address, Awakening Birth, on Saturday, and on Friday a breakout session entitled Placenta: the Forgotten Chakra

See more about Robin Lim, or explore the list of more than 50 other presenters, including Brad Bootstaylor, Michael Klein, and Barbara Katz Rothman on our new conference website.

What's New at MANA16?

CEU Benefits, Scholarships, Work Study, and More

NEW for MANA Members: Your CEU packet is now included with your registration as a member benefit. Take advantage of this and other MANA member benefits: join or renew your membership now before you register. Non-members may still purchase the CEU packet for $35.

Scholarship and Work Study Options: Thanks to the generous support of the MANA Board of Directors and the Foundation for the Advancement of Midwifery, registration scholarships are available again this year. Additionally, we are excited to be able to offer a limited number of work study positions for MANA16. Work study is available for conference attendees whose schools require service hours, or for those who would like to earn a rebate on conference registration fees. See more about scholarships and work study here. The deadline to apply for scholarships is July 31, so don't delay.

Childcare: for parents traveling with children, MANA will offer childcare during conference hours. Drop-off care will be available in two-hour time blocks in a meeting room designated for childcare, at no fee. We hope to allow parents space and time to attend sessions without their little ones, or just a supervised "home base" space for older children to play games, read or hang out. Watch this space for more details as the conference approaches.

The conference website is new! Explore our new mobile-friendly site. Check out the new conference schedule format, review conference tracks, and learn more about pre-conference half- and full-day workshops (there's also a POST-conference workshop offered this year!). If you prefer to review the schedule offline, download the PDF.
