#MANA15 Conference Theme Announced!

SHINE at MANA 2015 in Albuquerque!

SHINE speaks to the radiance of birthing parents and newborns, to the time we take at Conference to nourish ourselves and each other and to the feelings of pride in and growth of the midwifery profession, while reflecting the warmth of the New Mexico sunshine.

The Shine logo was created by Jen Fleisher of Charmed Designworks, with support from local and national planning committee members.

Jen is a midwife-in-training precepting with MANA VP Sarita Bennett. She's also a mother, birth doula, and yoga instructor based in Virginia.

The colors of the logo reflect the warmth and brightness of Albuquerque while "maintaining a bit of craftsmanship and cultural references" in the shape of the sun. "Warmth, brightness and craftsmanship are all qualities of midwives too, so it was a win-win," says Jen.

Does SHINE resonate with you? We look forward to sharing your radiance at MANA 2015, October 15-18, in Albuquerque. Keep up-to-date at the website here  and the Facebook event page.
