MANA Stats in Atlanta . . . and Around the Globe!
At the recent #MANA16 conference, Courtney L. Everson, PhD, Director of Research Education for the Division of Research (DOR), Bruce Ackerman, Data Collection Director for the DOR, and Jen Brown, LM, DOR Project Manager, shared news and updates from research based on MANA Stats as well as highlights from current initiatives of the DOR during the annual plenary address. Unable to attend the session? Watch here for summary blog post, coming soon!
Meanwhile, Melissa Cheyney, PhD, CPM, LDM, Chair of the DOR, was presenting outcomes based on MANA stats data at the groundbreaking 11th International Normal Labour and Birth Conference 2016 in Sydney, Australia. This was just one of many recent and upcoming opportunities for MANA stats to be shared on the global stage. Presentations like these help to lend further credibility to MANA stats as the premiere dataset in the US on physiologic birth. They also highlight - to a worldwide audience - the important work of US midwives in the maternal health care system.
The groundbreaking research made possible by MANA stats is all thanks to YOU - contributors to MANA stats and supporters of MANA. Thank you for your ongoing efforts to support and improve midwifery and perinatal health through data collection.
