#MANA16 Starts Next Week - Register by Friday!

Have you been waiting to see if your babies were born? Or if you could get childcare while you were away (or can bring them with you!)? ... Wait no longer, MANA16 is shaping up to be a fantastic event — flights to Atlanta are easy from most locations, and you can hop on the MARTA system for under $3 a ride. Or take the Super Shuttle — we have a discount. Once you're there, you are all set — most meals are included and we're planning a healthy menu with tasty meals appropriate for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan dining. And there are great reasonable dinner options within easy walking distance. Get your CEUs, recharge your batteries, and reconnect with your peers.

Activities Every Evening!

Get Your Tickets for Friday's FAM FUNdraiser Now!

Thursday Robin Lim opens the conference with an Opening Plenary at 8:00 pm, "Birth in the Era of Climate Change," followed by a desserts reception in the exhibit hall.

Friday the festivities kick off at 7:30 pm at the FAM FUNdraiser: help FAM raise awareness about the midwifery model of healthcare and increase access to midwives; pay your respects to the local Atlanta midwifery community at an honoring ceremony; and enjoy a screening of Jessicca Moore's documentary about Doctors and OBs who choose to have their own babies at home, Why Not Home. Note, the FAM silent auction opens Thursday, October 13th and closes Friday, October 14th at 8:00 pm, and includes gift packages from health and wellness professionals and midwifery supplies like the Iron Duck Midwifery Bag, a coveted item in the midwifery profession. Visit FAM online to learn more.

Kick up your heels at Saturday's annual MANA Dance with DJOpdiggy at 9:00 pm. Cash bar for your libation entertainment.

MANA's Exhibitors Support You, Support Them Back

Explore exhibits online now and during the conference

Each day has at least one full hour break dedicated to exhibits so you will have uninterrupted time to connect with midwifery supply providers, shop, or learn more about midwifery programs, educational opportunities or initiatives. Many of these vendors, and others, generously donated items to the MANA raffle. Explore the raffle tables and buy your tickets to win!

Earn Bridge Certificate Credits at MANA 16!

You can get nearly half of what you need in CEUs that qualify for the Bridge certificate by attending the plenaries and breakout sessions in Atlanta as well as an in-depth preconference workshop. Don't miss this opportunity. See all the Bridge certificate qualifying sessions here.

How to Pass Go in the Game of Midwifery

Last year's legal session from Indra Lusero was one of 2015's most popular. This year Indra will be leading a plenary on "How to Pass Go in the Game of Midwifery." The session will delve into topics such as antitrust law and how it impacts health care; open records requests; and explorations of state and federal agencies, among other topics that sound dry and boring until Indra explains them to us! Indra's plenary session is Friday after lunch at 1:45 pm. Increase your legal confidence and get involved!
