The Monthly Publication for Parents and Friends of Girl Guides Tasmania
March 2020

We will get through this together!

from the State Commissioner of Girl Guides Tasmania

We are in the midst of unprecedented times with things changing by the day.  Girl Guides Tasmania leaders and volunteers were suddenly told, “No more face to face guiding until further notice”.
With that news, what did our leaders do?  They spend ten minutes contemplating this inevitable decision over a cuppa and a chat with a fellow leader, then sprang into action! Plans are made, options are looked into and new avenues are explored.
Yes, for a while Guiding will be operating differently.  Is it tried and tested? No.  Will it work? Yes!!
This is why I am so blessed. In uncertain times Girl Guides Tasmania leaders and volunteers emulate the true Guiding spirt and adapt and evolve to the situation.
