Super Bowl week always comes with mixed feelings, or at least that is how we see it. We’re at the point in the new year where we just left the holidays behind and we are all partied out, or we're trying to eat and live healthier and this situation presents itself, the Super Bowl. The big game isn’t technically a real holiday and although we aren’t “ginormous” fans of either team (Go Falcons), we also haven’t seen a good football game in a while. Our expert advice is “Do as the Romans Do” and celebrate like you’ve never seen a coin toss.
Of course, we have a few ideas to help you out. First and foremost, pairing our dinner and dessert pies is always a crowd pleaser and a perfect way to escape a bad halftime show. We can promise that showing up with a Taco + Peanut butter pie combo will make you the MVP of the party. Showing up with something maybe not everyone has had before is a quick way to secure the coveted recliner before halftime. Also, you can't forget that it is as simple as calling and reserving them and you can pick both up on Saturday. The Super Bowl is meant for fried foods and dips, leaving pie out of the lineup is just wrong.
Our next game day tip is to figure out where you want to watch the game ahead of time, preferably before your mid-Sunday nap. Making solid plans is especially important if you decide to host the party, as you probably guessed. At the end of the day as long as you are hanging out with good company and eating delicious food (this part is key), you are a shoe in for a good time. Also, a working television is also mildly important.
