News from the British Cryogenic Cluster:
Cluster Day CCD7 is Done
Dear <<First Name>>,
Cluster Day Seven saw around 120 participants gather at Rutherford Appleton Lab on September 20. Presentations, exhibitor links, pictures and posters are available on the Cluster Day Website. Andrea Raccanelli led a strong European contingent, representing International Cluster Member Cryovac Germany in addition to his role as Secretary of the Cryogenics Society of Europe.
The first talk, on Rutherford Cable, by inventor Martin Wilson, was matched by Jerome Fleiter from CERN – explaining they had 7500km of it ! Peter Iredale presented Rutherford Cooler technology being licensed to Hymatic. Agnieszka Piotrowska made a convincing case for the Wroclaw type of Cryotherapy Chamber (used by Leicester City !) Professor Machin (NPL) spoke on implementing the new kelvin and Professor Freer (Birmingham) on Doing Cold Smarter. Go to the Cluster Day website for more details and links to all the wonderful Exhibitors who supported the event !
