Feeling the Pulse in 2017:
tell us what you want, need, and think!

In the new year, we’ll be surveying members, experts and industry stakeholders through a short ‘feeling the pulse’ survey, to understand and review GUAC and sector priorities for the coming year.

With the changes brought on by political change, continued economic challenges and upheavals within the sector, the year ahead is likely to continue to challenge housing organisations.

We want to understand how these changes are affecting your priorities, as you continue to plan, deliver or be involved in employment support.

Our 2017 pulse survey will be emailed to all members, select industry experts and stakeholders early in the new year. The results of the pulse survey will provide us with better insight into housing and employment support for the sector, as well as a better understanding of how GUAC can support you in the year ahead.

Look out for the survey in your inbox in the coming weeks.

GUAC: putting you in the spot light

As part of our offer to our members, GUAC is increasing the PR and publicity that it provides for its members’ employment support work.

The work you do is crucial in helping thousands of social housing residents secure meaningful employment, and getting back into the local economy.

Over the coming year, we’ll be reaching out and visiting every GUAC member; helping you to communicate and promote your employment support work through our platforms and networks and feeding back good practise to policy makers, commissioners and decision makers.

We’ll work with you to help you tell your story, and develop meaningful case studies for you to use in your own PR and stakeholder engagement.

Our members’ PR material will also be used by GUAC in our regular member news, website stories and alongside our stakeholder engagement.

There will be more on this through the year. In the meantime, you can get in touch with us to arrange a visit, via

GUAC Member day: Friday 27 January, 2017

Join us for our first member day of 2017. We’ll also get the very latest news from the Work and Health Programme, and an update on where some GUAC members now are in their plans for contracting and delivery. We’ll also get a Look Ahead session from our Chair, Ian Simpson, and a chance to feed into the webinar programme running throughout 2017.

The Member Day is part of the GUAC membership offer and all members are most welcome to attend. Please RSVP to secure your place, asap:
