The "Good Things in Maine" Campaign:

Each month the Maine Food Strategy will be highlighting a program, organization, or event that represents the positive changes and good work happening throughout the state in Maine's food system. This month: Maine Food in the News.

MaineBiz , a Maine-based media organization, will launch its "Maine Food Insider" weekly series on July 6.

Developed to keep Maine’s  businesses in the food system informed, the Maine Food Insider
will include information on topics such as:

  • Industry trends;
  • Laws/regulations/practices that affect the industry, and;
  • Major events/happenings within the food trade organizations in Maine.

MaineBiz adds its unique focus to other Maine papers covering agriculture, fisheries and food systems in Maine. Check out information on the new service here. Who’s your go to for information?  Share your favorites with us on Facebook.

Introducing: The Maine Food Strategy Shared Calendar

The Maine Food Strategy website is now hosting a branch of the Northeast Food Knowledge Ecosystem project shared calendar! This calendar is connected to New England food systems events through the New England Sustainable Agriculture Working Group (NESAWG), and will continue to grow with the addition of Maine events.

Head over to the calendar on our website, and begin viewing events, and add your own using the event form. This a great place to promote your event to a wide range of viewers, and create excitement and engagement around food systems work. Care to share?
