Cottonwood Place NHC Case Study:
Internet Connectivity for Older Adult Seniors

The National Housing Conference (NHC) recently published a case study on Eden's Cottonwood Place in Fremont, Calif., which provides 98 affordable rental apartments and is home to 146 older adult senior residents.

As stated in the case study, free broadband internet access is offered in every apartment at Cottonwood Place. Eden pays the full cost of wired broadband access and provides a free modem to each household. The cost is $190 per month and is included in the property’s operating budget.

Eden is committed to providing access to broadband internet for our residents as well as digital literacy training to highlight the opportunities and tools available on the internet. Check our our January EdenNews from this year for more about our work around connectivity.

NHC's Mindy Ault also posted a blog about the connectivity efforts including Eden's work at Cottonwood Place.
