Our Response to Coronavirus COV-19 Concerns

Privilege and responsibility are two words The Skillman Foundation often uses when talking about our shared work. We are privileged to have partners like you who exemplify fierce love and excellence in service of children and community. We are privileged to be able to, together, champion and safeguard the people of our beloved city—particularly those most vulnerable. With these privileges comes responsibility to be a steadfast and trusted partner to you and to the community at-large.

Our privileges and responsibilities are top of mind with the current coronavirus and COVID-19 concerns. With that as context, I write to share resources that are informing how The Skillman Foundation is responding to the quickly changing context, and to ask for your insights on the needs you see developing in the community that must be responded to in order to protect our community’s well-being.

Our Current Policies that Impact Our Work with Others

• This is subject to change as conditions and expert recommendations shift. Office closures would be communicated through this newsletter, our website, and our social media pages.
• Should our offices close, our team will continue our operations remotely.

• If you have a meeting scheduled at the Foundation, you will receive an email with virtual call-in information soon.
• For essential in-person meetings, visitors must log their name, organization, email, and phone number upon arrival. This will enable us to communicate with all visitors if we learn that our staff or other guests have come into contact with COVID-19.
