Abbey Road Dental Update October 2014

Abbey Road October Newsletter

Latest news from Abbey Road Dental

Hello there from Diana Spencer and the team at Abbey Road Dental!

It’s now that interesting time of year when we still have fresh memories of a lovely summer, the days are now shortening, and the promises of rich autumn colours are nearly upon us. The winter festivals are beckoning, and it’s time to start wearing several layers of clothing (and take the dog out whatever the weather) !!

To start this newsletter with a bit of fun, check out our short video about the practice.... it’s a little different from what you might expect! I hope you enjoy it.

Our new practice video

Our Practice Co-Ordinator, Debbie, has finally tied the knot during a fabulous break in Las Vegas and then honeymooned in Mexico. We are delighted to welcome her back as Mrs Debbie Gale. She is tanned and rested and ready to hear from you when you contact us for appointments and queries.

Now for something a little unusual.

I am posting pictures of myself before and after treatment with the very talented Dr David Bloom.

The difference is subtle; I had many old silver fillings and crowns on the back teeth which were discoloured, inset and needed to be replaced. Dr Bloom placed crowns and white onlays re-positioning these teeth slightly to allow for a fuller smile and less shadowing.  He is a truly talented artist in his field and I can now commend him to you not only as a clinician and colleague but also as a patient!!

If you ever feel that you want to make some changes to your smile, or something about your smile has bothered you over the years, David Bloom is the secret treasure of St John’s Wood! Take that step and book now for a consultation.
Are you noticing that food is getting stuck in new places in your mouth? Or that the overlapping tooth that was cute in your teens now seems to be overlapping even more? Are the perfectly straight teeth after orthodontic treatment in your teens beginning to move around?

You’re not imagining it. As you age, your teeth shift,. And that can be problematic, not because you’ll look different, but because it can make your teeth more difficult to clean, leading to more decay. It’s also of concern because misaligned teeth can lead to teeth erosion and damage to the supporting tissue and bone. Add to that the tendency of older adults to have periodontal disease, and you could end up losing your teeth prematurely.

Come and have a consultation or ring for a chat with Debbie our practice co-ordinator,There are many great systems these days to re align teeth especially the front ones within a short space of time.
