Melting Pot Theatre is hosting the Grand Finals of Crash Test Drama on Saturday 15th October. The finalists are made up of the winners from 2021 and 2022. There are eight original plays, written by locals, directed by locals, and performed by locals. Having witnessed the plays at this week's technical rehearsal, I can assure everyone that they are in for a great night of local theatre. There's comedy, drama, and political satire. Tickets are $10 and they are selling fast (at last count we're at 3/4s capacity).

Theatre Club

6.00pm - 7.30pm Supper Room

This month's Theatre Club's guest speaker is local Dean Cleary. Dean helped out with lighting for Winterfest, Sing-along-a-Sound-of-Music, and CTD round 2, 2022. Dean has worked in theatre as a teacher, technical director, and stage director for most of his career. He was head of drama at NIDA for many years and has a huge amount of experience. We welcome Dean to the MPT family and look forward to his input in 2023.

Theatre Club is a friendly social group of people who like to talk about theatre, learn about theatre stagecraft and go to theatre. We meet on the fourth Thursday of the month (27/10/22) in the supper room, from 6.30 - 7.30 pm. Join us for a glass of wine and a canape!

Chest compressions
Apply our community AED (trainer)

If someone suffers a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), their life expectancy is measured in single digit minutes. If a bystander promptly commences chest compressions, 000 is called and if possible an AED is available, their life expectancy may again be measured in decades. Yellow Wiggle - Greg Page, is alive thanks to chest compressions and early AED access.

The BCA has invested in a training manikin that allows "bystanders" (you and me) to know where to compress, how hard to compress and how fast to compress. This is a vital skill for all of us.

Come along and watch how to use our manikin and apply our training AED and then try it yourself. Wear loose comfortable clothing. Chest compressions are physical.

This large and popular cycle event is on this Sunday. Bundanoon forms part of the 150km "Maxi Classic" course. Riders will be Southbound down Ellsmore Road then turning left into Erith Street.

Use Bundanoon Rd and Middle Rd during this time.

Our dedicated garden owners have spent months, and years, preparing their beautiful gardens in anticipation of the many visitors they will welcome. Explore eight gardens, large and small, formal and informal, floriferous and herbaceous.

Garden Market stalls are in the Bundanoon Hall as well as in individual gardens where plants and gifts can be purchased. Bundanoon History Group has an exhibition in the Old Goods Shed beside the railway line. Scarecrows are displayed around the village in a competition judged by the Bundanoon Lions Club.
Enjoy a theatre performance in one of the gardens, written especially for the Ramble.

Use the free shuttle bus to visit the gardens or use your own transport. Purchase tickets online with or in the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall with cards or cash, or use cash only in individual gardens. Tickets, valid for both days and with garden descriptions and map, are $20 and include all eight gardens, or $5 for a single garden.

The Lions Club Café has food and drinks in a garden and the Gelato Man provides ices in another, as well as cafes in the village providing sustenance.
