Dear member,
Our AGM is coming up this month and it would be good to see as many members (and would-be members) coming along. Memberships are also due and can be renewed at the AGM or any time at our front office.
Don't know how to get rid of your old mobile phones? See our article below.
Our Emergency Relief Program is one of the Centre's most important contributions to the community. So next time you see a 'piggy' when you're out shopping in Maleny, your spare change is always welcome.

Homelessness Week, 6-12 August
CHASM and MNC volunteers will have a fundraising table in front of the IGA, from 11am-2pm, Monday to Friday that week. All monies received will be donated to the MNC for their emergency accommodation fund.
Shared House Pilot Project
We are partnering with MNC on this project (transitionary housing for women and children) and the state government funded Innovative Housing Research Project (for older people wanting to age in place in Maleny).
The Small House project
We are currently ramping up our fundraising efforts to build the first of ten relocatable dwellings which will be located in the Maple Street Co-op’s community garden. We have raised over $6,000 so far and aim to reach $50,000. Our first raffle is underway with a $100 hamper from Maple Street Co-op, to be drawn at the end of August.
Sponsorship plan and website
Please visit our website for more information or contact us via email for offers of support or inquiry.

Feed a piggy today!
The MNC piggies are a fixture in businesses around Maleny, so if you see the “Piggies“ around, please feel free to empty your loose change into it. Any amount accepted!

How our piggies contribute to MNC
MNC is one of the few neighbourhood centres that depend on fundraising strategies to provide a significant part of our budget. MNC supports local families and individuals through our Emergency Relief program and the “piggies” are an important part of that strategy.
The Emergency Relief program includes food parcels, blankets, stoves and other donated items. MNC also supports the local primary school with school lunches which include sandwiches and fruit each week.

Thanks to the support of Pia Buick Real Estate, MNC is the recipient of a grant through the Real Estate Institute QLD for our Emergency Relief program.
