The Friends of Cherry Hinton St. Andrew's are hosting Rosemary Wheeler and Friends for another afternoon of entertainment followed by tea and homemade cakes in the Church Centre on Thursday March 16th at 2.30pm.  Tickets (including refreshments) are £5.

Cherry Hinton Road, Teversham: Road works From 3rd April 
Details of road improvements, resurfacing and associated development works on part of Cherry Hinton Road, Teversham.  
The works are programmed to take place between 03rd April 2023 and 14th April 2023. Daily working hours will be between 08:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and 10:00 to 16:00 on Sundays.  More information here

Jurassic Arcade is BACK from 1st April at the Grand Arcade.  More details here
The Botanic Gardens are expecting another flowering of the Moonflower cactus plant Strophocactus wittii (formerly Selenicereus wittii).  It is likely this will be at night, possibly some time over the next few days and they have set up a webcam live feed, so you can follow it.  More information and a link to the webcam here

Dog Control Public Spaces Protection Order  
PSPOs were created to deal with problems in public spaces which have a negative impact on the local community’s quality of life. A PSPO does this by stopping certain activities in the area it covers.
To renew this particular order relating to dogs in Cambridge the City Council need to show that there is evidence that dog control will be problematic without the PSPO.  You can contribute to the review and read more here 

The new Radio Enters the Home exhibition has been opened to great acclaim at Cambridge Museum of Technology. It is located in the Pye Building alongside the permanent Pye exhibition. It celebrates 100 Years of the BBC bringing radio into the home and the first radios made by Cambridge company Pye. Some 25 of the earliest Pye radios made between 1922 and 1932 are on display, together with panels outlining the history of the BBC and how radio helped Pye grow to become the largest company in Cambridge.  More details here
Proposed installation of double yellow lines on Hayster Drive and Harcombe Road, Cambridge – in the vicinity of The Spinney Primary School and around the junctions of the surrounding roads.  More information here
The editorial team for the Cherry Hinton Newsletter are busy preparing the next edition and they are looking for local contributions.  They are especially keen to hear from anyone organising Coronation Events in Cherry Hinton, summer events and also updates on what groups are doing.  The information would be needed by Friday March 24th.  They are asking for 70 - 100 words for community group updates, 150 words for Coronation Event News, Summer Activities.  Photos encouraged. Contact kate@cherryhintonhub.org
