Our weekly email aims to provide you with up to date information on what is happening in and around Cherry Hinton.  If you or your group have something you would like to share please email chragroup@outlook.com. 
The September Residents Association Newsletter is going to print ready for delivery this week.  The newsletters will be available for collection from St. Andrews Porch for collection Saturday 10th September from 9am to 5pm and again on Sunday 11th 9am to 5pm.  We are very grateful to those who have helped us in the past.  If you need more information before taking on a delivery please email: mo@cherryhintonhub.org or ring 01223 210724 asap
The Friends of Cherry Hinton St. Andrew's September Quiz is back after two years on Friday September 16th at 7.30pm with Simon and Vanessa Webster again preparing the questions.  We look forward to welcoming both past teams and newcomers at St. Andrews Church, ticket costs remain at £5 per person and Under 16’s £3.  To reserve your table of up to 6 ring C. 245949 or C. 210724,  pay on the door or come along and make up a table.  Don’t forget to bring your own food and drink.

Want to learn more about wild flowers? Enjoy a gentle walk around the woods and meadows of Wandlebury with one of the Wardens who will help you to identify autumn wild flowers.  Wear footwear and clothing for being outdoors.

Meet at the notice board next to the car park at Wandlebury Country Park.

Free event - donations welcome. No need to book. Parking charge for non-members.

As part of World River Day Celebrations Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination together with the Museum of Zoology, Rivercare and Cambridge City Council will be holding an event at Coldham's Brook.  More information and booking here
Want to get Firefighter fit?  Sawston Station are recruiting on-call firefighters in Sawston and as part of their programme they are hosting weekly fitness sessions.   Email recruitment@cambsfire.gov.uk for information and booking.

Open Cambridge, one of the region’s largest, annual festivals of history and culture, kicks off on Friday 9 September 2022 and boasts a wide range of must-see drop-in events.

From hidden nature reserves and majestic libraries to iconic buildings and enthralling stories of the past, this year’s 10-day Festival (9-18 September) features over 30 drop-in events across the city and county, alongside a further 60 bookable events.

Open Cambridge, which is part of the national Heritage Open Days scheme, is a celebration of Cambridgeshire – its past, present and future. As many of the featured spaces and places are not usually open to the public, visitors have the rare opportunity for a tantalising glimpse behind the scenes of some of the country’s most iconic buildings, landmarks and locations.   More information here
