Letter to Cherry Hnton Residents Association

PRE-APPLICATION CONSULTATION – PROPOSED INSTALLATION OF STREETWORKS BASE STATION AT: (WALPOLE ROAD), WALPOLE ROAD, CHERRY HINTON, CAMBRIDGE, CAMBRIDGESHIRE, CAMBRIDGESHIRE AND PETERBOROUGH, ENGLAND, CB1 3TH (E: 547815, N: 256360).

Sent on behalf of Three UK, to consult on a proposal for the installation of streetworks base station at the above address.

"Government Guidance states that it is good practice for mobile telecommunications operators to notify you of our proposal to install a telecommunication site. We would value your comments on this proposal, in advance of our formal planning submission to the Local Planning Authority. This will help us to address any queries or comments you may have in respect of our proposed development.

Three UK consider it important that both you and your community are kept informed and involved in the planning process. Accordingly, with this letter we have included details of our proposal and advice on how you can comment.  Also attached is a document labelled ‘Streetworks Frequently Asked Questions’ which provides an overview into the identified need by the Operator for the new installation.

Unfortunately, due to the time pressures associated with the project roll out it is necessary to proceed to the formal planning application before the official period for receiving pre-application comments has ended. However, we want to assure you that any pre-application consultation comments received by the Agent will be considered for the application and passed on in full to the LPA for their review during the assessment and determination of the formal application.

We look forward to receiving your response within 14 days of the date of the attached letter."

Cast your vote on Greenways signs

The look, feel and colour of the Greater Cambridge Greenways are being put in the hands of the public in a new poll which opened on Monday 20th February.

The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) has opened a ballot where you can decide what maps and signposts will look like and vote for one of two colours.

We are inviting the public to choose between ‘Cambridge blue’ and ‘rural green.’ The blue reflects the city’s coat of arms, and the green reflects the natural environments many of the Greenways will travel through.

The poll is now open and will run until midday on Friday 17 March.

To cast a vote visit https://consultcambs.uk.engagementhq.com/gcp-greenway-wayfinding

The Greater Cambridge Greenways is a new network of 12 walking, cycling and equestrian routes that link up towns and villages with Cambridge. They will follow off-road paths, run along quiet streets or provide facilities alongside busier roads.

The maps and signs will help people to find their way on the 150 kilometres of routes currently under development by the GCP.  When completed, the Greenways will connect more than 50 communities and public transport hubs in the area.

We looking forward to seeing many of you in a couple of weeks.
