WINFIELD UNITED CHURCH

NEWS & UPDATES

--------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone,

The Friday Newsletter, as it has come to be known over the past year, is undergoing changes. We will move from a weekly newsletter to a monthly newsletter sharing events, the prayer list, announcements, and other features of interest on every last Friday of each month.  Next Friday's newsletter will be the first monthly newsletter. If there is a time-sensitive announcement, it will be included in the Sunday morning email containing the service Zoom link.
Additionally, to help us with sending more targeted emails based on your interests please update your email preferences. You can indicate which kinds of emails you would like to receive from Winfield United.

Update you preferences
For example, if you want to receive Sunday's written reflection or the link to the video service, you would click those boxes. Our goal is to create a more targeted method of sharing information.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone, and I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

Peace,
Joan
Coldest Night of the Year is an annual walk event where teams are formed to raise funds and awareness to support charities serving people experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger.
Teams register, set a fundraising goal and on Feb. 20 walk with those in your bubble or immediate household a 2km or 5km route. Would there be interest in forming a Winfield United Church team? Let us know. For more information visit:

UPDATE on EMILY

Emily’s recovery from heart surgery on Tuesday this week is going well.
Her surgeon is happy with how the procedure went and the ventilator was removed on Wednesday, with Emily now breathing fully on her own. Emily is gradually coming off the pain medications and interacting more, expecting to move out of ICU in the next few days.  Another heart surgery will be required in the next year, depending on her progress.
Feeling great relief and hope all around the circle… holding each other in prayers, positive thoughts, healing energy and feeling the connecting power of love and gratitude.

Winfield United calendars are now available at the office.  Many thanks to John Greenough for capturing 2020 in pictures for us once again.
